Attend all lectures! Read the book with the intent of understanding the material, not memorizing it. If you are not understanding something, come to "OFFICE HOURS". DO NOT GET BEHIND. Finally, do not be afraid to ask "stupid" questions in lecture. No question is stupid if you do not know the answer to it.
